• Assist the Desome Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Deli team
• Effectively coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork
• Assist in leading a team that brainstorms to deliver the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and the greatest experience your customers will receive
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Deli team
• Unload and sort through store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment
• Ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations, and validate that other Deli team members are also aware of, and following, these procedures

• Be at least 18 years of age with preferred 2 years of supervisory experience and strong knowledge of deli or related food service
• Be dependable and reliable, able to work a flexible schedule that changes with business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills mennes, with the ability to receive and give direction in a team environment
• Show an outgoing and friendly demeanor, a positive attitude, רפוא interaction with customers, special orders, and answering phones
• Possess proven leadership ability to build, motivate, and maintain staff, and knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales, and financial goals
• Strong focus on detail, analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Maintain Food Safety certification and ensure all federal, state, and company regulations for product freshness, food safety, weights and measures, store safety, employee safety, refrigeration, and sanitation are met
• Strong organizational and planning skills, able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
• Be able to lift/carry product up to 70 lbs., from 4″ to 60″, for a distance up to 20 ft. without mechanical assistance for up to 4 hours
• Stand for up to 4 hours continuously per shift, totaling 8 hours per shift
• Operate slicer, wrapping, and cooking equipment and maintain all equipment in safe working condition
• Perform other related duties as assigned
