Shift Lead

Shift Lead – Walgreens – Manassas, VA

Base pay range: $17.00/hr – $20.00/hr

• Open and close the store, set up required systems, handle cash, and ensure the floor and stockroom are ready for the business day, including opening the back door for deliveries.
• Process product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested.
• Create a distinctive and delightful customer experience through exemplary service and proactive engagement.
• Manage store keys and assist with inventory control, vendor ordering processes, and back‑door vendor deliveries.
• Register all sales on a cash register, record scanning errors, price verifications, voids, and ensure accurate pricing and signage.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts, manage the out‑date program, separate food items, and perform stock rotation using FIFO methods.
• Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payments.
• Support exterior and interior maintenance, request repairs, and ensure the store remains clean, neat, and orderly.
• Assist with pharmacy tasks such as the out window as requested and manage compliance with state and local regulations for regulated products.
• Conduct bag checks of team members before leaving the store and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Communicate assigned tasks between management and non‑management team members when store management is absent.
• Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the Manager.

• At least one year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (excluding Puerto Rico).

• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• Open to qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
• Obtain and maintain a valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
