Responsibilities- Perform administration of physical and virtual server operating systems (Linux and Windows)
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot server hardware, virtual platforms, and network interfaces
- Conduct systems analysis and implementation to ensure infrastructure remains current with evolving technologies
- Perform OS and vendor software patching in accordance with security compliance requirements
- Monitor and optimize server performance using enterprise monitoring tools
- Manage Active Directory, Exchange, and Windows server environments
- Support RHEL 8/9 and Red Hat-based Linux systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across server OS, storage, and networking layers
- Configure and maintain firewalls and network switches (Cisco, Juniper)
- Develop and execute automation scripts to streamline repetitive administrative tasks
- Grant application permissions and provide user support in classified environments
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
- Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance required at time of hire
- 5+ years relevant systems administration experience
- Strong experience with Linux (RHEL 8/9, Red Hat)
- Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange
- Experience with virtualization platforms and physical server hardware
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including firewalls and Cisco/Juniper switches
- Experience with server patch management and security compliance
- Ability to create and maintain automation scripts
- Experience supporting systems within classified/secure DoD environments
- On-site support required within a classified facility
