SSI is seeking an Enterprise Land Mobile Radio (ELMR) Support Technician to join our team on a Navy contract in Millington, TN. The successful candidate will support a program with over 10,000+ radios at 18 Navy installations.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide superior customer service to internal and external clients by maintaining local and remote computer systems and ensuring all users are equipped with technology to support company goals.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for incoming support requests.
  • Deliver technical support, training, and implementation of ELMR systems.
  • Test, tune and program Motorola based ELMR radios as needed.
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate the inventory, storage and distribution of radios.
  • Coordinate with the Regional ELMR Manager/Assistant Manager in the development of talk groups.
  • Configure Radio Set Identifiers (RSIs), troubleshoot radio subscriber units and/or network configurations.
  • Assist the Advanced Services teams with deployments, installations, rollouts, and maintenance.
  • Escalate issues to Advanced Services and the Management team as appropriate.
  • Report updates, discrepancies, outages or issues to management.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education:

    DoD
    8570 IAT Level II (e.g., Security+)
  • Clearance:
    Secret
  • 1–3 years’ experience in supporting ELMR, Motorola radios or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent teamwork, thoroughness, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Initiative and results orientation with flexibility and tenacity.
  • Ability to continuously adjust priorities to reflect changing circumstances.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic cross‑organizational team environment.
  • Strong dedication to providing quality customer service.
  • Effective problem‑solving skills and inherent decision‑making ability.
  • Project management experience.
  • Physical requirements:

    stand, walk, sit; use manual dexterity; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch; lift up to 25 lb; vision abilities include close, distance, depth perception, color and focus adjustment; walking (incl. stairs) throughout offices and between buildings; may require use of personal or Government vehicle to drive to local and/or remote office locations.
