With collaboration from the Revenue Cycle Training Director and/or Senior Training Specialists, you will implement training tools, instruct participants in the EMR system and related functions using approved curricula. You will act as a liaison to assigned areas, observe and monitor these functions while providing feedback to management, and deliver specialized instruction to Patient Access staff. You will help in the implementation of system enhancements and produce follow‑up reports on the Registration systems.
Instructional Design and Curriculum Development:
Conduct technical and informational training classes and/or onsite sessions on a regular basis for the Service Line. Observe staff working on Patient Access functions in a clinic setting. Serve as a training representative for interdisciplinary projects as assigned. In addition to the above responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
- Education:
High School or equivalent required. Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred in education, health or IT related majors. - Experience:
3 years relevant experience in a Help Desk/Information Systems setting or with Scheduling and/or Registration at UVA. - Licensure:
Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) or Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) by the NAHAM required within 18 months of hire date.
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive); repetitive motion of computer keyboard. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; attention to detail; ability to write legibly; ability to lift/push/pull 50–100 lbs.
Position Compensation Range$18.01–$36.02 Hourly
