National Counseling Group is seeking qualified (QMHP-C, Resident in Counseling or Licensed) full-time Mobile Crisis Counselors to provide community-based crisis intervention services throughout the Northern Virginia area.

- Provide community-based mobile crisis intervention and case management services to children and families within the community who are suffering from psychotic crises with the goal of stabilization and preventing hospitalization.
- Provide assessment, treatment planning, direct counseling, case management, discharge planning and follow-up to children and families experiencing mental health crises.
- Maintain scheduled and flexible availability, including weekly on-call rotation to support 24-hour coverage.
- Provide comprehensive written and verbal documentation as required.
- Work individually and within a team setting.
- Travel throughout the community and potentially to local sites (Loudoun County, Fairfax, Alexandria, Prince William County & Arlington).
- Facilitate wraparound team meetings to enlist existing supports in determining and meeting service objectives and to identify additional resources and supports.
- Prepare written service plans, incorporating input from clients, involved service providers, and wraparound team members, and clearly identify problem areas, needs, strategies, and service objectives.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in the human services field from an accredited college or university with at least one year of clinical experience with children or adolescents.
- Current license eligibility or QMHP-C registration from the Virginia Department of Health Professions and able to successfully complete required pre-employment screenings.
- Due to travel requirements, must have a valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.
