Acara Solutions seeks a Senior Engineering Support Specialist for our client in Manassas, VA.

• As a CWL Test & Evaluation Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in the success of our projects.
• Collaborating with CWL and MTWS engineers to conduct testing and integration.
• Employing a professional and confident approach when working with various engineering groups within the client and external entities to define, document, analyze, conduct, and interpret tests.
• Identifying functional issues and proposing effective resolutions.
• Operating in a fast‑paced, integrated product development team comprising professionals from multiple contracting organizations and DoD laboratory entities.
• Developing and analyzing test cases while providing regular progress updates.
• Reporting to a supervisor or manager, demonstrating a high degree of autonomy in your work.
• Crafting comprehensive test procedures.
• Proficiently utilizing electrical measurement tools, such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
• Conducting Verification and Validation for corrective changes.
• Performing installations, rip‑outs, testing, and validation of tactical systems.
• Assisting in configuring the lab in accordance with relevant drawings and port maps.
• Supporting informal and formal test events, as well as other customer‑driven test activities.
• Identifying, analyzing, and documenting software, firmware, and hardware defects and collaborating with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Supporting the Logistics team in the development of installation and operation procedures.

• Bachelor's Degree in Technology or Engineering with 4 years of experience
• Minimum of 4 years of experience with the AN/BLQ‑10, AN/BYG‑1, Submarine Weapon Launchers, or AN/BQQ‑10 systems.

• Master's Degree with 2 years of experience.
• Proficiency in software testing and analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• General knowledge of network configurations, operations, and commands.
• Navy or Submarine experience.
• Solid knowledge in use and understanding of test engineering concepts, principles, and theories.
• Solid knowledge and experience with object‑oriented programming, system processes and scripting languages.
• Openly proposes ideas that enhance productivity and efficiency, solicits input, and optimizes solutions.
• Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success, meeting and exceeding personal and team commitments.
• Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity.

• Requires an active Secret Clearance.
• Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.

• Occasional travel to submarine home ports for Field Services activities.
• Ability to lift to 45 pounds.
