- Perform field work for SUE location scopes of work using appropriate geophysical prospecting equipment to accurately designate underground utility layouts and perform routine computations for various project types.
- Operate and assist with SUE equipment, data collection, and other location equipment.
- Transfer files between data collection and internal company project folders.
- Conduct quality checks and process field data. Download, maintain, and verify accuracy of project data, reports, and manage database.
- Maintain professional and productive working relationships with all clients and coworkers.
- Operate a company vehicle.
- Observe safety and security procedures.
- Work to gain knowledge of typical SUE marking techniques.
- Interest in modern SUE equipment, devices, and methods.
- Problem solving techniques.
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment.
- Possess basic oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to professionally represent IMEG.
- Valid driver’s license with ability to be insured by IMEG carrier; must consent to a Motor Vehicle Record background check.
- Advanced/Proficient in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to travel with occasional overnight stays.
- Associates degree, or certificate, in Building Information Modeling (BIM), or Engineering preferred.
- Prior experience in the building design consulting or construction industry preferred.
- Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 pounds.
- Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pull.
- Will have limited exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises.
