Electrical/Computer Engineer role at Gromelski & Associates, Inc.
Gromelski and Associates, Inc. (GAI) partners with prime contractors to provide professional services, with key service areas including Engineering Design and Documentation;
Software Development and Testing;
System Integration, Testing and Evaluation;
Lab Management and Field Installation;
Integrated Logistics Support, Training Development and Delivery, Multimedia Support, and Technical System Support.
- Perform research, selection, test, and integration of electronic components and equipment in a military environment.
- Analyze, define and design mainly COTS equipment for new or existing systems or subsystems.
- Additional responsibilities include drawing creation, troubleshooting issues, test planning, test development, and test execution.
- Position spans the technology development life cycle, including requirements generation, system design and implementation, hardware procurement, integration, test, and installation across lab facilities and at-sea platforms.
- Leadership experience.
- Evaluation of COTS (Commercial Off-the-Shelf), ROTS (Rugged off-the-shelf), NDI (Non-Developmental Item) and/or custom components.
- Test Procedure development and execution.
- Participating in Integrated Product Teams, review boards, and customer reviews.
- Python, Bash or Linux.
- Video standards such as: RGB, Display port, Digital Video Interface (DVI). Experience with USB.
- Experience with TCP/IP & UDP/IP.
- Experience with military hardware design processes and specifications preferred.
- Experience with End-of-life assessments and evaluations.
- Experience with networked videos distribution and streaming, or Remote Network Adaptor (RNA).
- Experience with Routing and Switching protocols, IP, Subnet, Network Route, DHCP, UDP multicast.
- Experience with Analog Audio performance.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience.
- Must be able to obtain and keep a DoD Secret Clearance which means you must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Proactive/self-starter. Task driven with ability to work independently.
- Team player that takes ownership and develops relationships with the team members which fosters team success.
