Field Service Power Generation Technician

Overview

We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in Manassas, VA.

• Completing repair activities on generators or components.
• Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Performing maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools.
• Maintaining detailed records of service.
• Adhering to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
• Participating in ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products.
• Maintaining own tools.

• Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
• High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
• Capability to perform electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Primarily engaged in preventative maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics on generators.
• Basic Diesel Engine experience.
• Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality.

Base:
Salary rate commensurate with experience. • Apprentice Trained Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred).
• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution.
• Current relevant electrical certification.
• Locally valid driving permit.
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

• Minimal level of workshop related experience required.
• Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products.
• High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience.

Monday - Friday 7am-4pm with weekend and after hours work.

• A current valid license is required for this role.
• Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience.
• This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations.
