This role offers an exciting opportunity for a School Psychologist to provide essential mental health and educational support services while traveling to various school locations in and around Manassas, VA. The position focuses on conducting psychological assessments, collaborating with educational staff, and developing intervention plans tailored to students unique needs.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and interpret psychological tests to assess students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to design effective educational and behavioral interventions.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention to students as needed.
- Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and contribute expert recommendations.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all applicable educational regulations and policies.
- Travel to assigned schools within the Manassas area to provide comprehensive services.
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience conducting psychological assessments and providing counseling in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, including IDEA and Section 504.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and school personnel.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and work independently while traveling between schools.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to different school sites within the region.
Location:
Manassas, VA travel between school locations required.
