POSITION TITLE:

SUBSTITUTE TEACHER

Substitute Teachers must have completed 48+ college credits or an associate's degree from an accredited college or university, or have passed the Para Pro test with a result of 455 (or higher).

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Substitutes must be skillful in effectively communicating with students, teachers, parents, and other school personnel.

They must be able to follow written and oral instructions and directions in carrying out tasks and procedures related to the instructional, behavioral, emergency and health-related plans and services.

• Copies of college transcript(s) or Para Pro test result
• Professional references completed by current/former supervisors

This temporary position performs a variety of tasks, including, but not limited to, supervising students, ensuring continuity of instruction, and managing student behavior. It communicates effectively with students, staff, and the public. The work is performed under the supervision of the building administrator. The duration of the assignment is dependent on program needs and the availability of funding.
