Position Overview:

Electra is seeking a Marketing Intern to support content development across our digital and social media channels. We're looking for a creative intern who lives and breathes short-form video. The ideal candidate enjoys turning ideas into engaging reels, stories, and clips, and has a strong interest in creating content that captures attention and drives engagement. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to brand storytelling at a company shaping the future of aviation.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

• Develop video content concepts for social media platforms (Reels, Shorts, Tik Tok, etc.).

• Assist in scripting, storyboarding, and content planning for short-form video.

• Research and stay up to date on trends, formats, hooks, and storytelling techniques that drive engagement.

• Collaborate with the marketing team to align content with brand messaging and campaign goals.

• Support light filming, editing, and post-production efforts as needed.

• Contribute creative ideas to enhance Electra's digital presence.

• Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Film, or a related field.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong interest in video-based social media content.

• Good sense of storytelling, pacing, and visual flow.

• Familiarity with Instagram, You Tube Shorts, Tik Tok, or similar platforms.

• Creative mindset with the ability to generate engaging content ideas.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Basic video shooting or editing experience (Cap Cut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, etc.).

• Experience managing or growing a personal or brand social media account.

• Portfolio or examples of short-form video content.

• Interest in aviation, aerospace, sustainability, or emerging technology.

Location:

Headquarters in Manassas, VA. To encourage close collaboration, this position is preferred to be onsite.

Working Conditions

Work is typically performed in a warehouse/aviation and office environment, which requires proper safety precautions. Work may require some physical effort in handling light materials, boxes, power tools, prototypes, and different materials or equipment. Due to the nature of our business and projects, some fieldwork may be required, working in both indoor and outdoor conditions. You may need to lift up to 50 lbs.

Successful completion of a background check and/or drug screening prior to starting work may be required for this position.
