Summary of Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN will provide direct and individualized nursing care to an assigned group of patients under the direction of a registered nurse or provider. The LPN will observe, report and record medical information and nursing care provided in the electronic medical record. The LPN will instruct patients and families according to the teaching plans. The LPN will communicate with the healthcare team to facilitate the coordination of individualized patient care.

Join the Penn State Health Medical Group – Eastbrook office as a clinical staff member. The Eastbrook team is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the ranks. Solely practicing family medicine, the office treats 40-60 patients per day.

The Eastbrook LPN will be expected to room patients, collect vitals, perform point-of-care testing and phlebotomy. Administering vaccines and assisting with minor in-house procedures will also be expected. Chart prep, patient education, triage, and other duties will also be required of the LPN.

The ideal LPN will be strong in time management and critical thinking. Working as part of a team and independently will be expected in this position. Don’t wait – apply today!

Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently licensed to practice as a licensed practical nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate LPN license through the Interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required prior to completion of orientation.
