Position: Civil Litigation Defense Attorney (2+ Years)
This position offers exposure to a diverse defense-side caseload
, allowing attorneys to gain experience across multiple areas of litigation without being limited to a single niche. The firm handles matters involving insurance defense, coverage disputes, and complex liability cases, providing associates with broad courtroom and litigation experience. Attorneys work closely with experienced leadership, providing hands-on mentorship and direct case involvement.
- Insurance bad faith litigation
- General liability defense
- Products liability
- Insurance coverage disputes
- Related civil litigation matters
- Handle litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Conduct depositions and participate in hearings and mediations
- Assist with case strategy and trial preparation
- Communicate directly with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel
- Collaborate with partners on complex litigation matters
- 2+ years of civil litigation experience
- Insurance defense experience preferred; plaintiff-side experience will be considered
- Strong writing, research, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively
- Licensed in New Jersey and in good standing
- Mentorship from well respected trial attorneys
- No billable hour requirement - focus on quality legal work rather than time targets
