To be responsible for the overall shop management, enhance customer satisfaction, meet sales and profitability targets and manage staff effectively.
Responsibilities- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
- Develop business strategies to increase customers’ pool, expand store traffic and optimize profitability.
- Complete store administration and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain excellent store condition and visual merchandising standards as per the Retail department SOP; ensure that visual merchandising guidelines are adhered to and standards are maintained in the section(s) and provide inputs to the store visual merchandiser on the same.
- Report on buying trends, customer needs, profits, etc.
- Communicate innovative ideas to increase market share.
- Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and current customers.
- Ensure availability of merchandise and services by maintaining inventories and communicating shortages with the Central or Regional Distribution Center.
- Secure merchandise by implementing security systems and measures, inspect, and ensure adjustment of damages as per the Standard Operating Procedure "SOP's".
- Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
- Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control.
- Tour the sales floor regularly and identify and resolve staff and customer issues and grievances.
- Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understand forthcoming customer initiatives, and monitor competitors' performance.
- Ensure achievement of sales targets set for the department(s) and provide input in deciding the same.
- Ensure adherence to shopping standards by conducting periodic audits of the department and taking corrective actions.
- Ensure budgets for the own store are managed and that expenditure stays within agreed budgets.
- Ensure store administration is completed according to company procedures on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Drive initiatives to improve customer relationships and generate loyalty.
- Complete store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.
- Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to sales staff.
- Maintain store staff, orients, and trains.
- Maintain store staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; plan, monitor, and conduct fair performance appraisals.
- Lead, motivate and develop the team to maximize talent and performance and achieve business objectives.
- Bachelor Degree in Business / Retail Operations or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years as a Store Manager handling a big box department.
- Customer centric with a positive attitude.
- Proficient in MS Office – Excellent.
- Numerical and Analytical Skills "Retail Analysis".
- Problem Solving skills.
- In-Store Operations Knowledge.
- Business Acumen.
