Luxury Spa & Health Club Manager Director Spa

Our client is a landmark five-star hotel in Manama and they are seeking a Spa & Health Club Manager (Director of Spa & Wellness) to take charge of its upcoming luxury spa project while overseeing a fully renovated (Completed 2025)
health and fitness facility
. This is a unique opportunity to be part of something exceptional from the ground up—contributing directly to the design, development, and launch of a spa experience that will redefine wellness in the region.

Planned Opening in 2026, this expansive wellness facility is currently in its second design phase, with construction scheduled for early next year. As the Spa & Health Club Manager, you will:

• Play a key role in shaping the design – your input will influence layouts, technical features, treatment flow, and guest experience.
• Lead the pre-opening and operational launch – from menu development to recruitment and branding.
• Oversee a facility that includes:

• 10–12 treatment rooms
• Salt inhalation room for yoga and therapy
• Hot and cold hydrotherapy pools, including a 12–13°C cold plunge
• Elegant, contemporary interiors designed to rival the region’s most prestigious spas

The spa will operate as a standalone wellness destination
, separate from the hotel’s fitness club, and will cater to a sophisticated, wellness-driven clientele of both hotel guests and local members.

You’ll work alongside a strong supervisory team that handles daily operations—allowing you to focus on strategic leadership and spa development.

• Provide strategic and hands‑on leadership across both spa and health club operations
• Ensure excellence in guest service, treatment quality, and wellness standards
• Recruit, train, and inspire a team of 15–20 staff, in partnership with HR
• Collaborate with hotel leadership on financial performance, pricing, retail sales, and marketing
• Drive revenue, guest satisfaction, and brand positioning in the luxury wellness space
• Build a loyal base of external and in‑house guests through targeted promotions and digital presence (primarily Instagram)

You’re a seasoned spa leader with the ambition to take on a major project. Your background likely includes:

• Experience as Spa Manager or Assistant Director of Spa in a luxury hotel, resort, or branded wellness facility
• Knowledge of Middle Eastern spa culture and guest expectations (experience in the region is a strong advantage)
• A blend of operational know-how
