PositionSummary
We are seeking a Drafting Specialist with expertise in HVAC and Chilled Water Drafting. Knowledge of other MEP disciplines such as Electrical and Plumbing drafting is highly desirable. This role involves producing accurate technical drawings, coordinating with engineers and project managers, and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop detailed drafting layouts and schematics, focusing on HVAC and Chilled Water systems, while contributing to other MEP disciplines when required.
- Use AutoCAD, Revit, and other software to create technical drawings.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Interpret architectural and structural plans for seamless integration of MEP systems.
- Prepare shop drawings and as-built drawings for HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and other MEP installations.
- Ensure all designs comply with local codes, standards, and regulations specific to Bahrain.
- Assist in preparing bill of quantities (BOQ) and material take-offs (MTO) based on finalized drawings.
- Coordinate with other disciplines (e.g., civil, architectural) for integrated project designs.
- Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and documentation.
- Provide technical support during construction, including site visits and coordination with installation teams.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in MEP drafting.
- Handle multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in MEP drafting, with a focus on HVAC and Chilled Water systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other drafting software.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, codes, and standards applicable in Bahrain.
