Clinical Assistant - Family Medicine (Per Diem)

The Clinical Assistant is responsible for performing assigned duties within their capabilities and scope of practice. They will assist the clinic provider or nurse in specified aspects of patient treatment, including emergent care and primary care for all age levels. They will maintain effective interaction with the public and hospital personnel.

• Take vital signs on all patients, including BP, HR, respiratory rate, and O₂ saturation.
• Measure height and weight and assess pain level.
• Manage patient flow in the clinic, rooming and preparing the patient to be seen by the provider.
• Assist providers with minor surgical setup and specimen preparation.
• Complete minor lab procedures, including collection of urine and blood specimens, and route lab results to the correct provider.

• High school diploma required.
• State of California Certified Nurses Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician (State or National) certification required.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

• Per diem, varied day shifts including weekends.
• Starting wage $23.59 to $28.59 based on qualifications.
