Site Services Engineering Manager

To lead, manage and develop the engineering team to provide a responsive, professional and quality aware engineering maintenance service. Ensure maximum operational effectiveness from equipment and facilities, through the introduction of new systems and procedures which will improve the competitiveness of the company and ensure a physical environment fit for manufacturing quality food products in compliance with current health & safety legislation.

Reporting to the Site Head of Engineering, the jobholder will need to balance team management with a hands-on practical approach to engineering issues on site. The role will work across engineering stores and administration.

• Some refrigeration experience would be an advantage.
• Mechanical and electrical engineering qualifications and experience
• Proven track record of success in managing a team
• Ability to balance team management responsibilities with hands‑on practical tasks
• Strong organisational skills with an ability to balance a varied workload and re‑prioritise in response to changing business needs and unexpected engineering problems.
• Experience of working within a fast‑moving pressurised manufacturing environment
• Evidence of troubleshooting and fault diagnosis
• Must be driven and enthusiastic with a passion for engineering maintenance. Highly professional and able to deal with issues unaided
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to build excellent working relationships

• Foster collaboration with senior leadership to enhance maintenance systems and site efficiency.
• Identify training needs, technological improvements, and capital investment opportunities.
