As an LPN/LVN, under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care, maintain a safe environment, and communicate effectively with the treatment team. Essential duties include:

• Direct Patient Care:
  • Carry out patient care and assignments as directed by the RN.
  • Observe and communicate patient needs.
  • Respond to patient requests and report changes.
  • Intervene during behavioral crises using approved methods.
  • Assist with activities of daily living as needed.
  • Participate in treatment planning and patient education.
  • Ensure infection control protocols are followed.
• Shift Support:
  • Review shift assignments and facilitate a safe environment.
  • Ensure proper documentation and safety checks.
  • Manage patient valuables and discharge procedures.
• Medication Administration:
  • Ensure proper medication procedures are followed.
  • Verify and document medication administration.
  • Educate patients on medications and monitor effects.
• Other Responsibilities:
  • Maintain confidentiality, work independently and as part of a team, and communicate safety concerns.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current state licensure.
• CPI/CPR certification per policy.
• Driver Safety Training.
• Preferred: one year of behavioral health/substance abuse experience.
