RF Test​/Evaluation Engineer

Position: RF Test / Evaluation Engineer (Permanent)
RF Test / Evaluation Engineer – Maldon, Essex (On-site)

We’re supporting a well-established semiconductor organisation seeking an RF Test / Evaluation Engineer to join their on-site engineering team in Maldon, Essex. This is a hands-on lab role focused on validating RFIC and RF component performance prior to release into manufacturing.

As an RF Test / Evaluation Engineer, you’ll be responsible for RF measurement, characterisation and correlation of design data against physical hardware. Working fully on-site in Maldon, Essex, you’ll play a key role in ensuring product quality, performance and compliance across the NPI lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

* Execute RF measurements and characterisation using VNAs, spectrum analysers and signal generators

* Develop and maintain RF test setups, fixtures and automated test systems

* Analyse measurement data, perform statistical analysis and document results clearly

* Work closely with design, systems and manufacturing teams to feedback test results

* Ensure compliance with RF test standards and calibration requirements

Background & skills

* Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or similar

* Strong RF fundamentals (S-parameters, impedance matching, gain, noise figure, linearity)

* Hands-on lab experience with RF test equipment

* Test automation or scripting experience (Python, MATLAB, C/C++, LabVIEW)

* Detail-driven, methodical and comfortable working in cross-functional teams
