In partnership with Tufts Medicine, Acadia has created the Tufts Medicine Behavioral Health Hospital, a state‑of‑the‑art 144‑bed facility in Malden, Massachusetts, slated to open in early 2026.

Maintenance Technicians perform routine and specific maintenance services—including grounds work—across the facility’s infrastructure.

• Perform general maintenance and repair to facility and equipment, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and mechanical equipment repair.
• Act as backup for call person in case of emergency, responding promptly and appropriately.
• Handle all equipment safely, demonstrating good working knowledge of tools and their safe use.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedule/instructions and complete reports as requested.
• Inspect and maintain emergency power equipment, test/start generator weekly, inspect fire alarm system (testing system, fire doors, audible alarms, visible alarms, smoke detectors) and maintain records as required by state or facility; check extinguishers monthly; inspect and maintain lighting system throughout facility.
• Inspect and maintain plumbing systems, replacing or repairing faucets, toilets, urinals, traps, drains, basins, bathtubs as needed; repair or refinish furniture in rooms, offices, and dining areas.

• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in maintenance or facility operations required.
• Knowledge of standard practices, procedures, and tools in the general building/maintenance trades preferred.

Pay range: $28.31 to $33.80/hr.
