Qualifications (Required)- Valid License as a Speech and Language Pathologist
- Successful teaching experience.
- Experience implementing direct speech services, including articulation, receptive and expressive language needs, and social communication.
- Ability to relate/communicate effectively with teachers, students, parents, and administrators.
- Teachers must commit to being present for each day of the program. See dates below for more info.
- Experience working in the Malden Public Schools.
- SEI Endorsement.
- Plan and implement ESY Curriculum for students on IEP’s.
- Complete planning logs for each session and maintain student attendance records.
- Keep folders/portfolios with student work.
- Perform other related activities as required by the Program Coordinator.
- Develop Progress Reports at the end of the ESY Program.
- Program Administration and Implementation 83 hours total to include the following:
- Professional In-service Days (Date TBD 3 hours).
- 20 days, Monday-Thursday, from July 6–August 6 (8:00 a.m.
- 12:00 p.m.).
Stipend: $40 an hour, $3,320 total (20 days/4 hrs + 1 inservice at 3 hours)
Funding Source: Special Education
