ESY 2026 - Preschool
Special Education Teacher
(6 positions total)
(position contingent upon enrollment)
Qualifications (Required):
* Valid Massachusetts Teacher Certification in the respective content area of Special Education.
* Successful teaching experience.
* Experience modifying and differentiating curriculum students within sub-separate and inclusion classes.
* Ability to relate /communicate effectively with teachers, students, parents, and administrators.
* Teachers must commit to being present for each day of the program. See dates below for more info.
Qualifications (Preferred):
* Experience working in the Malden Public Schools.
* SEI Endorsement.
* License in Moderate Special Education.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Plan and implement ESY Curriculum for students on IEP's.
* Complete planning logs for each session and maintain student attendance records.
* Keep folders/portfolios with student work.
* Perform other related activities as required by the Program Coordinator.
* Develop Progress Reports at the end of the ESY Program.
Duration:
* Program Administration and Implementation 103 hours total to include the following:
* Professional In-service Days (Date TBD 3 hours).
* 20 days, Monday-Thursday, from July 6 - August 6 (8:00 a.m.
- 12:00 p.m.).
Stipend: $40 an hour, $3,320 total (20 days/4 hrs + 1 inservice at 3 hours)
