Reading Teacher
2 Positions Total – K-8
Qualifications (Required)- Valid Massachusetts Teacher Certification in the respective content area of Special Education.
- Successful teaching experience.
- Experience modifying and differentiating curriculum for students on IEPs.
- Ability to relate/communicate effectively with teachers, students, parents, and administrators.
- Teachers must commit to being present for each day of the program. See dates below for more info.
- Experience working in the Malden Public Schools.
- SEI Endorsement.
- License in Moderate Special Education.
- Certification in Wilson Reading.
- Plan and implement schedules for related services on an IEP.
- Complete planning logs for each session and maintain student attendance records.
- Keep folders/portfolios with student work.
- Perform other related activities as required by the program coordinator.
- Develop Progress Reports at the end of the ESY Program.
Program Administration and Implementation – 103 hours total, including:
- Professional In-service Days (Date TBD 3 hours).
- 20 days, Monday-Thursday, July 6 – August 6 (7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.).
$40 an hour, $4,120 total (20 days/5 hrs + 1 in-service at 3 hours)
