Reading Teacher

2 Positions Total – K-8

• Valid Massachusetts Teacher Certification in the respective content area of Special Education.
• Successful teaching experience.
• Experience modifying and differentiating curriculum for students on IEPs.
• Ability to relate/communicate effectively with teachers, students, parents, and administrators.
• Teachers must commit to being present for each day of the program. See dates below for more info.

• Experience working in the Malden Public Schools.
• SEI Endorsement.
• License in Moderate Special Education.
• Certification in Wilson Reading.

• Plan and implement schedules for related services on an IEP.
• Complete planning logs for each session and maintain student attendance records.
• Keep folders/portfolios with student work.
• Perform other related activities as required by the program coordinator.
• Develop Progress Reports at the end of the ESY Program.

Program Administration and Implementation – 103 hours total, including:

• Professional In-service Days (Date TBD 3 hours).
• 20 days, Monday-Thursday, July 6 – August 6 (7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.).

$40 an hour, $4,120 total (20 days/5 hrs + 1 in-service at 3 hours)
