Location: Bridgton
Overview:
The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, a solid commitment to safety, and the ability to manage time effectively. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various destinations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service.
Schedule:M-F ONLY NO WEEKENDS. HOME DAILY
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate company trucks to transport goods and materials to specified destinations.
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries while adhering to assigned routes and schedules.
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently, ensuring the integrity of the load.
- Perform Pre-Post trip inspections and maintenance checks on vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition.
- Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or traffic violations to the supervisor promptly.
- Keep the truck clean and presentable at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure the safe handling and transportation of goods.
- Maintain accurate records of driving hours, deliveries, and incidents as company policies and regulations require.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers during deliveries.
- Address customer concerns or issues promptly and report them to the supervisor.
- Ensure delivery documentation is accurately completed and submitted.
- Plan routes effectively to maximize efficiency and minimize fuel consumption.
- Adapt to changing conditions and traffic patterns to ensure timely deliveries.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a truck driver preferred.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
- Excellent driving skills and a solid commitment to safety.
- Ability to navigate using GPS and other routing systems.
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift and move heavy loads.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
