MCI Coaching Positions

Job Goal

To coach MCI sports team by helping each participating student-athlete to learn sport-specific skills and improved self-esteem, to develop an appreciation for the values of commitment, discipline and sportsmanship. To instruct a school-sponsored girls softball team that exemplifies integrity, respect and discipline at all times. To work collaboratively with other coaches and teams while supporting the entire interscholastic athletics program of Maine Central Institute.

• Head Varsity Baseball Coach
• Head Varsity Softball Coach
• Assistant Varsity & JV Softball Coach

• Head Varsity Field Hockey Coach

• Must be at least 20 years of age
• Must submit to a Background Check and have a clean driver's license
• Must have (or be able to obtain) current CPR/AED and Sports First Aid certifications
• Within year of hire, must complete NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching, NFHS Concussion in Sports, NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest, NFHS Heat Illness Prevention, and NFHS Protecting Students from Abuse online courses
• Must agree to comply with all MPA By-laws, Policies, and Coaching Code of Ethics
• Must have knowledge of the sport; successful coaching experience preferred
