• Design and implement core features of Apache Ozone and Apache Ratis
• Contribute code and design documentation to the Apache open-source community
• Support enterprise customers with large-scale big data analytics and ML/AI pipelines

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years or Master's degree with 4-6 years of relevant industry experience
• Strong backend engineering skills, particularly in Java or C++ with intermediate Java expertise
• Experience in large-scale distributed systems design and development
• Proficiency in system software design and understanding of computer architecture, storage, and networking
• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Background in distributed storage systems, including file systems or No
  
  SQL storage
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization
• Familiarity with the Apache Big Data ecosystem and systems software, including file systems
• Contributions to open-source projects
• Understanding of storage development and distributed consensus frameworks like RAFT
