Electrician

We at McCrum have an immediate opening for a full‑time Shift Electrician in our Washburn, Maine potato processing facility.

• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues on complex food‑processing machinery, including 3‑phase motors, sensors, and automated controls.
• Service and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and other instrumentation devices.
• Install and maintain conduit, wiring, lighting, and electrical panels throughout the facility.
• Perform scheduled inspections and testing of electrical systems to prevent downtime, completing preventive maintenance work orders daily to ensure optimal operation of equipment.
• Strictly adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and NEC standards to ensure a safe working environment.

• A valid State of Maine Journeyman or Master Electrician license (or the ability to obtain one).
• Proven experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics/blueprints and using diagnostic tools (multimeters, ammeters, etc.).
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb for a 12‑hour shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfort working the 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM schedule.
