HVAC​/R Tech

Join to apply for the HVAC/R Tech role at Medford Wellington Service Company, Inc.

Perform maintenance, repairs, and installation of heating, cooling, ventilation and refrigeration systems to include, but not limited to ice machines, walk-in/reach-in coolers/freezers, RTUs, split systems, air handlers, exhaust fans, make-up air fans, and controls. Must have electrical knowledge as it relates to HVAC/R equipment and controls. Ability to read electrical schematics. Ability to read/interpret blueprints. Must be able to participate on an on-call rotation for emergency service.

Well versed with smart devices (e.g. Android phone and tablet) is a plus.

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and installation of HVAC/R systems and related components as listed above.
• Work on ice machines, walk-in/reach-in coolers and freezers, RTUs, split systems, air handlers, exhaust fans, and make-up air fans.
• Utilize electrical knowledge related to HVAC/R equipment and controls; read electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service.
• Utilize smart devices (e.g., Android phone/tablet) as part of daily work.

  Required:
• ME Journeyman Oil Burner License Preferred
• Valid Driver’s License
• EPA Universal Certification
• OSHA 10

• Willingness to continue developing skills in the trade as part of ongoing learning.
• May be required to take part in continued related coursework.
• Maintain a safe and acceptable driving record at all times.
• Able to assist with office-related duties such as collection calls, shipping and receiving, shop maintenance and other related operational duties when necessary.

Lifting (approximately 50 lbs.), climbing ladders and stairs; bending or stooping; extended periods of walking; regular exposure to weather conditions; operate motor vehicles; and ability to operate power and/or hand tools. Drive a van.
