Insurance Agent (Base salary + Uncapped commissions)

Location:

Waterboro, ME (also Dover, NH; Barrington, NH; Wells, ME). Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 per year.

Description

We are looking for a Sales Agent to join our team in the South Portland office and surrounding locations. Success in this role will require a strong local network and in-person relationship building in the community. This is not a remote position.

Pay Details
  • Typical training salary: $55k – $65k
  • First‑year total compensation ranges from $55k – $75k through a combination of base, bonuses, and uncapped commissions
  • Potential for top performers to earn over $100k in the first year

  • Ability to learn insurance coverage and underwriting guidelines
  • Familiarity with finding, building, and growing leads and customer base
Preferred Experience
  • Previous sales role where prospects were successfully turned into customers
  • State insurance license (or willingness to earn one) in Property & Casualty and Life
