Waiter​/Waitress; Part Time

Unidine is hiring immediately for part time WAITER/WAITRESS positions.

Location:

Schooner Cove – 35 Schooner Street, Damariscotta, ME 04543.

Schedule:

Part time, Monday – Sunday, hours may vary. More details upon interview.

No experience is necessary; willingness to train!

Fixed Pay Rate per hour.

• Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room; take food and beverages in an efficient manner following established steps of service.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards. Follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests.
• Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients; advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested; accommodate reasonable requests and notes preferences. Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
• Communicate directly with back‑of‑the‑house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
• Exhibit exceptional communication skills and demonstrate ability to get along well with others. Remain flexible and patient with guests and staff.
• Collect tickets and follow proper cash‑handling procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests.
• Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information that is shared.
• Promptly address complaints or issues; relay relevant information or complaints directly to supervisor.
• Ensure the dining room is properly set up prior to and after the service period; keep area clean and neat while meeting established sanitation standards.
• Operate a variety of equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines.
• Work with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
