This full-time Outdoor Maintenance Worker/ Carpenter is a 40+ hour a week position. With the need to work holidays, weekends and nights. During the winter months this worker will be tasked with grooming our trail system for Nordic skiing using a variety of grooming equipment. This worker will be responsible for preventative maintenance of the equipment to ensure safe and smooth operation.

There will be assigned building and wood working projects when there is a need. This position also plays a key role in outdoor care for our ski trails, disc golf courses, and general property maintenance which can be; brush hogging, mowing with large agricultural tractors, painting, moving buildings and shelters with heavy equipment, carpentry projects, tree and brush cutting, chipping brush, and fence repairs, Etc.

This person will be responsible for leading seasonal employees on projects assigned. The Outdoor Maintenance Worker/Carpenter will also assist with set-up, cleanup, and support during events that are hosted here at Pineland Farms.

• Nordic Trail grooming
• Equipment operations
• Tree Felling/ and cleanup
• Brush hogging/mowing/ string trimming
• Construction/ and building
• Guiding/leading seasonal employees
• Driving a variety of vehicles and equipment

• Frequent lifting and carrying (50+lbs)
• Standing, walking, crouching, stooping, bending, twisting, and sitting
• Reaching above shoulder height.
• Constant finger and hand movement.

• Must have 5 years of building experience
• Must have knowledge of building codes
• Must have 3 years of equipment operation
• Grooming experience is preferred.
• Must be willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and up to 40 hours a week.
• Must be able to work in a team-based environment as well as solo.
• Must have experience running chainsaws, leaf blowers, and string trimmers
• Must have an eye for detail.
• Must be self-motivated.
• Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record.

• Working outdoor in all four seasons. Temperatures can be very hot and cold.
