PACU Registered Nurse in Hampden, ME

Location: Hampden

Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) under the supervision of the Unit Director. The RN will adhere to state licensing regulations and facility policies while supporting patient recovery after surgery. The Clinical Leader or Charge Nurse will offer direct supervision during assigned shifts.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required;
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Current Maine RN license or compact license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtained within 30 days of hire
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification current or obtained within one year of hire
• 1 to 3 years of RN experience preferred
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient care consistent with hospital policies and nursing standards in the PACU
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and comfort
• Report to Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse for shift supervision
• Maintain accurate patient records and communicate effectively with patients and families

Additional Details:

• Contract position
• If residing within 50 miles of the facility, an adjustment to compensation may apply
• Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid
• The facility may cancel up to three shifts during the 13-week contract
