An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse skilled in operating room procedures to provide comprehensive perioperative care in a critical access hospital setting. This contract position is based in Lubec, ME, offering the chance to contribute to a community-focused healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver safe, effective, and high-quality patient and family-centered care throughout the perioperative period.
  • Perform circulating, scrubbing, and Phase 1 PACU recovery duties as needed.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with the perioperative team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold the organization's mission, vision, and values.
  • Respond to on-call requirements with a maximum 45-minute arrival time.

Experience and Qualifications:
  • Licensed Registered Nurse with operating room experience.
  • Proficient in circulating, scrubbing, and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) responsibilities.
  • Experience in various specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, podiatry, OB-GYN, pain management, urology, and endoscopy.
  • Prior experience working in a critical access hospital operating room environment highly preferred.
  • Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) credential is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
