American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical Services Manager / OR Scrub position requiring a minimum of 3 years of perioperative experience and CNOR certification.

Job Details

• Monday-Friday schedule with variable hours,

• Role encompasses both departmental management and hands-on scrub responsibilities in the OR,

• Ability to scrub in general and orthopedic surgeries required,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of Maine or a compact license currently in hand,

• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS (may be obtained within 6 months), PALS (may be obtained within 6 months), and CNOR,

• Minimum 3 years of perioperative experience required,

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing,

• Advanced computer skills required,

• Demonstrated ability to scrub in general and orthopedic surgeries,

• Ability to function independently and act rapidly and efficiently in emergency situations,

• DOB and SSN required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Responsible for management of the Surgical Services Department under the direction of the Chief Quality & Nursing Officer,

• Directs age-appropriate surgical services activities and makes administrative decisions within scope of responsibility,

• Demonstrates leadership strengths in communication, organization, conflict management, and problem solving,

• Applies clinical proficiency in age-appropriate patient care using the nursing process,

• Maintains a high degree of confidentiality in alignment with organizational mission, vision, and values
