ICU RN Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine or compact state
  • Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience required
  • BLS certification required (American Heart Association preferred)
  • ACLS certification preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by healthcare providers
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post-discharge instructions
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
