Job Description

Dixfield Sawmill is seeking a detail‑oriented and reliable Inventory Control Administrator to support daily inventory accuracy and material flow across the site. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys data accuracy, problem‑solving, working closely with multiple production areas and enjoys working independently.

Schedule
  • Monday: 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday: 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Friday: 5:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the site‑wide Inventory Control Process.
  • Verify accuracy of all production numbers at every production center.
  • Perform scheduled Inventory Cycle Counts on all finished products and make inventory corrections when necessary.
  • Perform Cycle Counts on Rough, “work in progress” lumber and make inventory corrections when necessary.
  • Learn the basics of the Log Purchasing and Inventory Process.
  • Learn the basics of the Residues inventory and sales Process.
Qualifications
  • Strong Computer skills with proficiency in Excel (data entry, formulas, accuracy checking)
  • High attention to detail for daily data verification
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and investigate root causes
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Comfortable working with numbers and production data
  • Clear and professional communication with all levels of management
  • Ability to follow established processes and ask clarifying questions when needed
  • Reliable and punctual, especially given fixed schedule requirements
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset
  • Willingness to cross‑train in multiple areas
  • Integrity and trustworthiness when handling key inventory information
  • Comfortable performing routine physical tasks
  • Adaptability to a fast‑paced and changing production environment
