Reporting to: Production Manager
Status: Non-exempt / Hourly
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm
On-site: Raymond, ME 04071
Duties and Responsibilities- Operate, set up, and adjust CNC 3, 4, & 5 axis mills, turning centers, and multi‑axis machines.
- Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions to manufacture parts within required tolerances.
- Perform machine troubleshooting and minor adjustments to minimize downtime.
- Conduct quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with engineers and production personnel to optimize machining processes and project timelines.
- Support Quality Assurance in addressing rework related to vendor DMR (Defective Material Reporting).
- Assist with inventory control and proper material handling within the production department.
- Support general shop operations and assist Maintenance as needed for equipment or facility‑related projects.
- Technical certification in machining or CNC programming preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in machining and CNC operations.
- Proficiency with Fanuc‑controlled machining centers.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions.
- Experience with ISO G‑code & M‑code programming.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and shop floor documentation processes.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office; knowledge of Oracle MRP is a plus.
- Experience with FlexCNC C‑series 50‑02 and Omron FlexCNC Control.
- Knowledge of ANCA Motion Control Systems and Ether
CAT communications. - Background in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work with various hand tools, measurement devices, and machinery in a manufacturing setting.
