Position OverviewThe primary role of Production Support is to assist in all areas of the Manufacturing facility as production needs demand. This role could be working day‑to‑day in Assembly on power frames and sure‑step assembly tasks, on the Wet Coat and Powder Coat lines hanging and removing parts, in the Welding area performing spot welding tasks or assisting the Shipping team with staging for shipments.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Assist in various production roles as needed to ensure continuous workflow
- Operate overhead hoist
- Load and unload parts on the Wet Coat line
- Assemble painted parts, including packing and palletizing the finished product
- Operate drill press, punch press or riveting machine to assist in Assembly operation
- Utilize basic hand tools
- Set up and maintain a clean and well‑organized and safe work environment in accordance with 6S.
- Maintain accurate counts and inventory of product at workstation
- Understand and adhere to product acceptability and quality requirements
- Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards and identify product defects
- Rework and/or repair assembled parts according to engineering specification changes
- Stage materials and pallets for shipments
- Perform additional tasks and miscellaneous duties as assigned to support production flow and maintain efficiency during non‑peak periods
- Strong understanding of operating basic measuring tools
- Safety first mindset
- Ability to perform in high stress fast‑paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes in production requirements and flexibility to support multiple work centers as production demands
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and apply dimensions to manufactured parts
- Highly motivated self‑starter
- Team player with the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with internal teams
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn and use manufacturing ERP Systems, preferred IFS.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Lift, carry, push and/or pull 1‑50 lbs. frequently
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
