Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Works closely with the Facilities Director to promote healthy living, social responsibility, and youth development.
- Works closely with the Facilities Director to keep the YMCA's buildings and properties functioning and secure while ensuring safety, licensing standards and the YMCA's reputation. Ensures campus remains secure by monitoring facility and member activities, locking up supplies & equipment, and locking the facilities at the end of each day.
- Leads staff in ensuring the YMCA’s facilities are clean, sanitized, organized and safe. Facility areas include the Main Campus and Camp Knickerbocker.
- Leads staff in cleaning, sanitizing, wiping down all surfaces (including glass), and removing trash from all facility areas.
- Oversees inventory of cleaning supplies, prepares weekly supply orders, and supports order management. Ensures staff have fitted areas with appropriate cleaning and/or toiletry supplies at all times.
- Collaborates with Facilities Director in performing light maintenance including light‑bulb replacement, minor plumbing fixes, simple repairs, and routine maintenance of cleaning equipment.
- Leads staff in keeping YMCA campus clean and orderly. Duties include but are not limited to mowing, raking, snow removal, salting, and trash removal.
- Records and reports all needed repairs and completes repairs as directed.
- Supports program staff with moving furniture and equipment, arranging equipment for special events, and setting up camp equipment.
- Builds effective, authentic relationships with participants and community partners and connects them to the YMCA. Works closely with facilities contractors.
- As a Mandated Reporter, recognizes signs of abuse or neglect and reports to supervisor and the appropriate authorities.
- Performs other tasks and projects as assigned.

- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The employee will lift and/or move up to up to 60 pounds.
