Electric POWER Controller Security Clearance

Position: ELECTRIC POWER CONTROLLER with Security Clearance
Location: Cutler

Duties Help
* You will inspect, start, make operating adjustments, and secure diesel engines and related auxiliaries such as oil fired boilers, residual fuel transfer systems, electrical distribution systems, lube oil purifiers, and high pressure air systems.
* You will take readings and monitor all engine gauges and meters for proper performance, compare with required performance, and make necessary adjustments.
* You will analyze operation of equipment to determine if equipment is in satisfactory operating condition and make substitution of equipment as required, and perform other duties as assigned.
* You will supervise the Industrial Equipment Repairer assigned to the same shift. Requirements Help Conditions of employment

The Screen-out Element for this position is: THE ABILITY TO WORK WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION such as:
* Experience applying a basic knowledge of or experience in the operation and maintenance of diesel electric generating equipment, electric distribution systems, oil-fired generating equipment, residual fuel storage, transmission, and treatment, and miscellaneous auxiliary equipment.
* Experience using all types of hand tools required for making mechanical adjustments to equipment.
* Experience interpreting working drawings from sketches to blueprints for a complex diesel electric power generating plant.
* Experience detecting faulty operation of all power plant equipment, and taking corrective action to prevent hazards to the operational ability of the facility.
* Experience coordinating the work of other employees, and possessing a working knowledge of a complex power generating plant.
