  • Assist with larger‑scale projects such as exterior building prep, staining, and seasonal maintenance initiatives.
  • Maintain the grounds in a neat and presentable condition throughout the year, including mowing, trimming, weeding, maintaining flower beds, and tree trimming during spring, summer, and fall seasons.
  • Perform snow removal during winter months using plow trucks, snowblowers, and shovels to ensure safe and accessible pathways.
  • Develop and implement daily operations plans for grounds care and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with other staff, while also demonstrating the ability to work independently.
  • Respond flexibly to facility or guest needs, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor in all interactions.
  • Work outdoors in all types of weather conditions and perform occasional ladder work or light roof access tasks.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is performed safely and in compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in general facilities maintenance or related trades work.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn and apply technical skills across multiple building systems.
  • Proven ability to organize work, set priorities, and manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Sound judgment and problem‑solving skills, particularly in identifying maintenance issues and determining practical solutions.

  • Professional and courteous communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and vendors.
  • Commitment to safety, reliability, and maintaining a high standard of facility presentation.
