Site Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical escalation point for production issues, incidents, and customer-impacting outages
• Investigate, diagnose, and manage resolution of complex system, application issues
• Monitor system health, availability, latency, and error rates using observability tools (metrics, logs, traces)
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and document findings with actionable remediation plans
• Respond to on-call alerts, triage incidents, and drive resolution following incident management processes
• Collaborate with development, platform, and teams to restore services quickly and safely
• Identify recurring issues and implement automation, fixes, or preventive measures to reduce toil
• Improve system reliability by recommending changes to architecture, configurations, and deployment practices
• Maintain and enhance runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and incident response documentation
• Validate fixes in staging and production environments to ensure issues are fully resolved
• Assist with capacity planning and performance troubleshooting under high load or degraded conditions
• Be aware of deployment concepts (CI/CD) and release process implementations (rollback, backups, blue-green, etc.) and analyse failures
• Ensure systems meet SLAs and SLOs targets
• Participate in post-incident reviews and track follow-up actions to completion
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to L1/L2 support teams

• Strong knowledge of web application stack components and their roles (nginx, php, redis, rabbitmq, postgres, elasticsearch)
• Strong communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts into clear, customer-friendly language.
• Strong knowledge of PHP with experience with Web Frameworks (preferably Symfony)
• Strong knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL
• Good knowledge of e-commerce related concepts (functional and technical level)
• Experienced in troubleshooting of web applications
