We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Licensed Clinical Psychologist/Certified School Psychologist to join our team in a dynamic educational setting.
The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in psychological evaluation, clinical leadership, and collaboration with school staff, families, and external agencies to foster student well-being and academic success.
Appropriate Credentials:School Psychologist (SPsych), Licensed Psychologist (LP or PsyD)
Key Responsibilities- Psychological Evaluations:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of student' cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and academic functioning. Provide recommendations to inform IEPs and targetsd interventions - Clinical Leadership:
Lead and mentor school teams in addressing mental health and behavioral needs - Collaboration & Problem Solving:
Partner with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement effective, student-centered interventions and accomodations - Counseling & Support:
Provide individual and group counseling as needed to support students' emotional, behavioral, and academic success while promoting a positive school climate - Training & Consultation:
Deliver staff training on mental health and behavior strategies and consult with parents and educators on student support plans
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology - required
- Current Maine Psychologist licensure and DOE School Psychologist certification - required
- Strong expertise in psychological assessment administration and interpretation - required
- Experience applying evidence-based interventions to imporve student outcomes - required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in school psychology or related field, including evaluations and clinical leadership - preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills - preferred
- Knowledge of special education law, IEPs, 504 Plans, and MTSS - preferred
- Training in evidence-based therapies - preferred
