Medical Technologist​/Clinical Laboratory Scientist; MT​/MLS​/CLS

Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is recruiting Medical Technologists to support the VA Boston Healthcare System (BHS). Specifically at the West Roxbury Campus located at 1400 VFW Parkway, West Roxbury, MA 02132. Coverage includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays. • Perform independent, high‑complexity laboratory testing across multiple disciplines, including:
• Chemistry (automated and manual testing, QC, instrument maintenance)
• Urinalysis (automated and manual testing, QC)
• Blood Bank (cross matching, antibody screening and identification, gel and tube testing, blood product processing)
• Hematology & Coagulation (automated and manual testing, QC, instrument maintenance)
• Microbiology (plating, Gram stains, reading/subbing plates, Microscan setup, PCR testing, routine micro procedures)
• Perform daily, weekly, and routine quality control (QC) and instrument maintenance
• Participate in the College of American Pathologists (CAP) Proficiency Testing (PT) Program
• Independently evaluate, document, and report patient test results and QC data
• Identify, document, and resolve specimen collection, processing, testing, or reporting issues
• Positively identify patients and specimens prior to testing or aliquoting
• Safeguard electronic and paper patient information in compliance with VA privacy and HIPAA requirements
• Provide professional, patient‑centered care and customer service
• Follow VA, Joint Commission, CAP, CLSI, and national laboratory standards
• Document testing and care in the VA electronic health record system
• Participate in laboratory quality improvement activities and staff meetings as required
• Comply with VA scheduling, attendance, and performance standards

• National certification as a Medical Technologist (MT, MLS, or CLS)
• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in:
• Chemistry
• Urinalysis
• Blood Bank
• Hematology
• Coagulation
• Microbiology
• All continuing education required to maintain certification must be current
• Must maintain active AHA BLS
• No sponsorship available

• Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
• Lift up to 20 lbs
• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
