Pharmacy Operations Manager

The actual hourly salary within this range that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills, experience and other relevant factors. • Accountable for performing day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities; ensures efficient workflow and positive patient experience.
• Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and oversee pharmacy technicians and cashiers under a pharmacist’s supervision.
• Select, schedule, train, coach, and manage performance of pharmacy technicians, including disciplinary actions and terminations.
• Assist pharmacist in patient care: registration, prescription data entry, medication preparation, counting, and verification (when allowed by law).
• Coordinate and organize daily pharmacy schedule, allocate hours, and maintain a clean, orderly, and well-stocked pharmacy environment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, state and federal laws/regulations, and Good Faith Dispensing standards.
• Manage inventory, prepare reports, and support pharmacy financials and performance improvement initiatives.
• Lead community outreach, coordinate off-site immunization clinics, and build retail partnership relationships.
• Communicate prescription errors, insurance claims, and safety incidents per company procedures; participate in audits and continuous quality improvement.
• Engage customers and patients to resolve complaints, provide assistance, and promote a positive experience.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• Minimum one year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations).

• Previous people‑management or leadership experience.
• Previous work experience with Walgreens and an Exceeding Expectation performance evaluation.
