Medical Laboratory Scientist I – Pittsfield, ME

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist I for Northern Lights Hospital. This hospital-based position is available for full‑time, hourly roles. Pay starts at $28.53+ per hour and may include annual performance bonuses.

• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analyses, reporting, and maintaining patient test records.
• Maintain proficiency testing records and ensure patient specimen testing conformity.
• Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures and release test results.
• Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described in the laboratory’s policy.
• Identify problems that may affect test performance or reporting and notify the senior technologist or supervisor.

• BS in Medical Technology preferred; BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology, or an associate degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• 1 year of high‑complexity clinical experience preferred.
