Wright-Pierce, an award-winning, multi-discipline environmental engineering firm specializing in water, wastewater and civil infrastructure, is seeking a Transportation Structural Lead Project Engineer to join our company.
Salary range is $95,000 - $140,000/yr.
NOTE:
Final salary is based on education, experience, certifications, and location.
- Technical design with primary focus on bridge, large culvert and ancillary highway structures. Opportunities to support civil site infrastructure projects including dams, marine infrastructure, water/wastewater treatment facilities, industrial facilities, and institutional facilities.
- Self‑perform and lead team members in developing engineering calculations and develop engineering reports, plans, specifications and estimates.
- Participate in bridge and culvert condition inspections, perform load rating calculations.
- Supervise and assign work for multi-discipline project teams.
- Check design calculations of team members.
- Participate in construction observation and administration.
- Perform task and or project management functions in support of project execution.
- Strong communication, self‑motivation, and interpersonal skills.

- Excellent attention to detail.
- 8 – 12 years’ experience required, focused on design of bridges and transportation structures.
- Experience with structural engineering for marine and dam infrastructure considered a plus.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Bentley Open Roads / Open Bridge Designer, AutoCAD, Mathcad, and Bluebeam.
- Working knowledge of structural analysis programs and bridge design software:
Bentley Civil Work Suite, AASHTOWare, LARSA, STAAD, or similar FEM software.
- Professional Engineer License required
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
